Stellewater – Stellest

On our planet, the quality of water is being degraded and constantly menaced by nuclear, toxic, and industrial waste in rivers, oceans and water tables.

Looking at the left side of the artwork, Stellest disposed glasses from the 30s, which were never used. They represent the absurdity of having glasses in the case of a penury of water.

A back pack, a cane and a small motorcyclist indicate the fact that we need to preserve the spaces where we find a certain distraction together with a contact with nature, like parks, rivers, lakes and oceans. Two paintings representing landscapes are hung up side down. One can see them the right way around when looking into the mirror on the bottom of the sculpture. Have a look… May we never get to such a point!

Looking into one specific case, scientists made research in a wide area around a factory where it happened. They found frogs, which were born with three heads and five legs. Birds were flying around, looking for food…

As we can imagine, the birds ate the frogs…
