I made this sculpture in Candes St Martin. One day I saw this old TV from the 60s, and its images relentlessly advanced to the same effect as watching TV or falling asleep. Looking out my bedroom window, I saw a herd of black and white sheep, while that same day, they had cloned, in Scotland I think, the first sheep, which they had named Dolly. A formula, media mass viewing, brain washing while sleeping, and how far to go until one can order a cloned politician or couturier for the first of the month? ...
Technique: Assemblage of random material. A table, Yellow Bakelite TV from the 60s, a Jackson Pollock like plastic lounge chair, which had been abandoned by some unknown owner, a pack of Gitannes cigarettes not made in China and a polyurethane head of a pre-cloned man.
